MapHabit and CaringKind's feasibility study shows that individuals living at home with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias (ADRD) who utilize visual mapping assistive technology experience enhanced quality of life and reduced care partner burden.

## Abstract

The CaringKind and MapHabit partnership pilot study findings were published in the [*Clinical Interventions in Aging*](https://www.dovepress.com/a-feasibility-study-of-individuals-living-at-home-with-alzheimers-dise-peer-reviewed-fulltext-article-CIA) journal. The six-week in-home study was designed to show the impact that an assistive technology app (MapHabit) has on caregivers and the individuals with dementia they care for. In the group using the app, caregivers had a reduction in stress and burden and individuals with dementia had improvement in quality of life and activities of daily living. The findings suggest further study is warranted in larger and diverse populations about the impact this assistive technology app has in this population.
